Singer, songwriter, and musician, Mr. Qwes has been on the music scene for 17 years. His latest single, “Never,” has reintroduced fans to his raw and compelling songwriting coupled with high-energy musicality. As a self-taught pianist, his style uniquely incorporates elements of Jazz, Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, and Classical genres. 

With two solo albums, “Isms and Ologies” and “The Red Light District,” the Qwes experience is R&B church. His work grounds itself in the honesty of the human experience while transcending the physical. This artistic range has allowed him to lend his talents to artists such as gospel legend, Karen Clark-Sheard, to the multiplatinum country artist, Trace Adkins. 

In addition to performing in venues across the country, Qwes was the host of The Love Jones Experience at The Russell; one of the most popular open mics in the region. Alongside his musical work, Qwes is a strong advocate for social change. He has been a champion of education reform, racial justice, autism awareness, and women’s rights.
